Dr. Tomaino joins Renée Fleming at Symphony Space
Save the date! On May 29th, five-time Grammy Award–winning soprano Renée Fleming takes the stage with Rosanne Cash to discuss Fleming’s new book, Music and Mind. A passionate advocate for the connection between the arts and health, Fleming will talk about her career and the healing power of music with two contributors to the book: David Leventhal, Program Director for Dance for PD of the Mark Morris Dance Group, and Dr. Concetta Tomaino, Executive Director and co-founder of the Institute for Music and Neurologic Function.
Dr. Tomaino contributed a major chapter to Music and Mind, in which she shares her personal journey as a music therapist and the launch of the Institute for Music and Neurologic Function. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from Dr. Tomaino as she presents on the impact of music therapy and the transformative power of music.
A book signing will follow the event. Attendees have the option to pre-purchase a discounted copy of Music and Mind with their ticket.
