We are excited to announce a new partnership between the Institute for Music and Neurologic Function (IMNF) and the Advanced Science Research Center at the CUNY Graduate Center (CUNY ASRC) to co-host the 2026 Music Has Power® Symposium & Awards.
The event will take place on November 9, 2026, at the Harold M. Proshansky Auditorium at the CUNY Graduate Center in New York City.
This year’s theme, music frequency, will explore the intersection of music, neuroscience, clinical practice, and emerging technologies. The program will focus on three key areas: neuroscience and music research, clinical applications of music-based interventions, and technology and access, highlighting new approaches that expand the reach of therapeutic music. Bringing together scientists, clinicians, and innovators, the symposium will examine how frequency, both acoustic and neurological, plays a role in advancing music and health.
“Partnering with the CUNY ASRC reflects our shared commitment to rigorous research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and translating scientific discovery into meaningful health outcomes,” said Dr. Concetta M. Tomaino, Executive Director and Co-Founder of IMNF.
Additional details, including speakers and award honorees, will be announced in the coming months.
