The Institute for Music and Neurologic Function (IMNF) is pleased to announce a new collaboration with the upcoming feature film Los Ageless, a film which weaves the themes of healing, music and memory through a magical-realism narrative centered around a community of older adults living in the desert landscape of the Coachella Valley.
As an Impact Partner and member of the film’s advisory “Brain Trust,” IMNF will provide scientific and clinical guidance to support the film’s exploration of music, brain health, aging, and quality of life through the lens of current research and evidence-informed practice. The collaboration will also explore opportunities for public education, community engagement, and broader conversations about the role of music in promoting health and well-being.
For more than 30 years, IMNF has advanced the science and therapeutic use of music through research, education, and clinical programs. We are pleased to support projects that help translate this work for broader audiences and encourage greater awareness of music’s potential to improve lives.
We look forward to working with the Los Ageless team as the film progresses and sharing updates with our community.
